èkphrasis - a relationship between sounds and moving images
Ekphrasis has been considered generally to be a rhetorical device in which one medium of art tries to relate to another medium by defining and describing its essence and form, and in doing so, relate more directly to the audience, through its illuminative liveliness.
This project is a collaboration between Francesco Ditaranto and Luigi Scaramuzzo.
We took the concept of the èkphrasis to explore the relationship between sounds and images, trying to wire certain sounds to certain images and viceversa using digital tools and programming languages.
11/06/22 - A first exhibition at Abbazia San Michele Arcangelo, Montescaglioso, Italy.
